After forty miles of beautiful, lock-free cruising, we can't take narrowboat Silver Fox any further north on the Lancaster Canal. At Tewitfield the canal is literally spilt in half by a bridge over the M6 motorway. Beyond lies the 'Northern Reaches', with locks, bridges and miles of waterway, although un-navigable. In this episode, Colin takes a look at the Northern Reaches of the Lancaster Canal before heading back south.
