According to our camera, it's too cold to operate normally! Winter narrowboating can be beautiful if you wrap up warm! Today we take a trip from Engine Lock on the Caldon Branch of the Trent and Mersey Canal to the Leek Branch and the end of its navigable arm. Colin discovers the transhipment base at Endon Basin, a disused railway that could see trains going to Alton Towers, and floats the idea of opening an ice cream booth in the middle of the Caldon Canal.
